Those Quotes on Tumblr That Makes Me Say "ahhh thank you"

Monday, June 30, 2014

Tumblr. You never fail to show me the right quotes at the perfect moment. Here are some inspirational quotes that I found this week which struck me deep. Maybe you will find them inspiring as well:

"Just because something doesn't last forever, doesn't mean that it wasn't meaningful while it did last. It doesn't mean it wasn't important"
- Candace Bushnell

"Detachment is not about refusing to feel or not caring or turning away from those you love. Detachment is profoundly honest, grounded firmly in the truth of what is."
- Sharon Salzberg

"Nothing will ruin your 20s more than thinking you should have your life together already."

"You must be the person you have never had the courage to be. Gradually, you will discover that you are that person, but until you can see this clearly, you must prevent and invent."
- Paulo Coelho

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is more people who have come alive."
- Dr. Howard Thurman

"Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you."
- Christian D. Larson

and then, of course, was my favorite one of all:
I'm still slowly getting over you. But I'm getting there.

Summmmmer 2k14. Currently. (photo dump)

Saturday, June 28, 2014

My goodness. I haven't been blogging lately and its cause this summer is just too good to get away from. It has been busy and filling up with some of the best memories to date. So here is just a couple of moments from these past few months:

These are just a tiny amount of photos that I have been taking this summer. I still have a ton of photos to finish editing, especially of my sweet Korea trip. Now that this summer has finally settled down a little I can finish editing all these things!

So yeah, it's been
happy
sad
joyful
filled with missing & thinking about a certain someone
working a butt load of hours
hanging out with old & new friends
making smart decisions
making bad decisions
planning secret parties
worrying about my future
having inspirational talks with people that I love most
learning new things
and as always,
loving on everyone that comes my way (except for these certain customers that come through starbucks. You airport employees *cough, cough: super shuttle guys* I will never love on you because you're always a pain)

oh its been so good.

Keep it up summer.

Morning After

Wednesday, June 18, 2014

I took this photo while on my walk the morning after I said goodbye.

That sad, sweet, beautiful goodbye.

*****

This summer has definitely been one for making the best memories. Summer 2014, I will cherish every memory of yours; the laughter, the smiles, those nights, that trip, the tears, those rides, the firsts, the lasts, and everything in between. I love you summer and you're not even over yet. Seriously my dear, I love you and wish that you would never end.
Here is to the rest of you and making more of those sweet memories.

South Korea

Korea I (iPhone only)

Saturday, June 07, 2014

It's been a full week since I've been home. It feels good to be home again but then again I do miss Korea. I can successfully say that my body had adjusted to the time difference. It took almost a full week for me to get over my jet lag!

I was planning on trying to update this little thing while I was away but it was really hard to find wifi during those two weeks. When I did find wifi I was getting online just to let my family know that I was still alive and updating my instagram account haha.
I'll share some photos that I took on my iPhone today and then sometime next week I will get to the real photos :) I still have to upload and edit those things. I'm also going to try and create a small video. But I've never edited a video before so I'm not sure if that's going to happen.

But Korea. I fell in love with that country. It was amazing to see how I fit in with the girls there! Their fashion was a dream. I felt at home with the clothes that I was wearing. I wish I could say the same when I'm over here in the states. One wonderful thing about their clothes is that everything there fit me. I'm a petite person and every girl over there is the same. It was a wonderful finding clothes that fit me perfectly. All the more reasons to move to Korea one day.

This trip was just what I needed. It was refreshing, inspirational, eye opening, and was something that I will never forget.

I love traveling.
